Rune to be Invulnerable & to Charm Weapons
I've taken my little embroidered runes to arts & crafts shows this winter and they've been a big hit. They have really cool symbols and mysterious Latin phrases (which a surprising number of people were able to interpret on the fly!) and a history that appeals to a myriad of interests, whether it's magic or gods or religion or mysticism.
This rune promises to make one invulnerable and to charm weapons. Several of these beauties are currently under Christmas trees, ready to be opened by D&D players and video gamers. I love being a part of gift-giving, especially when it comes to unique items that are sure to surprise in the best way.
This rune is from the circa 15th Century grimoire, The Veritable Key of Solomon.
Mixed media. Watercolor and single-strand hand embroidery on cotton, finished in a black, hand-painted 4-inch wooden hoop.
